Discover the wonders of beekeeping with me and my family.
Located in the heart of County Antrim, John McAllister has been tending to bees since 2015, and it has become a true passion. JJ’s wife, Bernie, and their daughters, Emily and Maisie, are more enthusiastic about honey quality control than getting close to the bees themselves!!
John McAlister established JJ’s Bees in 2015, fuelled by his newfound passion for beekeeping. His commitment lies in advocating for sustainable and ethical beekeeping practices. Over time, he diligently acquired extensive expertise in beekeeping, currently managing 25-35 colonies and actively breeding bees from his own stock.
We recognize that numerous beekeeping enthusiasts face constraints such as limited space, lack of equipment, or time for honey extraction. To address this, we’ve invested in a state-of-the-art extraction line, streamlining the process and ensuring efficiency. Now, we’re delighted to provide an affordable extraction service to beekeepers who require assistance.
Our honey is a delightful blend of wildflower runny honey, carefully foraged from the vicinity of our apiaries. Unlike heat-treated honey, ours undergoes simple filtration before being jarred, preserving its natural goodness. We offer it in 8oz jars, and upon request, we can create charming 41ml wedding favour jars.
Raw honey, simply extracted filtered and jarred.
